Elyments replace Facbook and WhatsApp with Made in India


Following the Ban on number of Chinese apps last Week,the Government of India has launch a Super App  for social Media activities called 'Elyments',the app was launched by the Vice President of India M.Venkaiah Naidu.The Application is available in Eight Language,and offers features such as social media content feed,chat interface and options to make audio and video calls.The Application is made in India and available in Android and IOS by Sumeru Software Solutions 






Revealing details about the app on Twitter,Naidu said,"More than one thousand IT professionals ,who are also the volunteers of the Art of Living,have together created an indigenous app named Elyments.It's appreciable that the app will be available in eight Indian languages.India is an It powerhouse and we have some of the world's best-known names in this field.With such a huge pool of talented professionals,I feel there should be many more such innovations coming out in future".


India's recent ban of 59 Chinese Smartphone applications,including the virally popular 'TikTok' has opened up a void in the vernacular social media space that the likes of SharChat,Roposo,Bolo Indya,Chingari and the likes are trying to fill.The move has further brought the 'make in India' push back into trends, of which The Art of Living's Elyments app will  be one..To Convince users of the safety of usage,Sumeru has stated that all conversations on the app are end to end encrypted,and that the app is fully complaint with data storage laws of India,with the service's data servers are stored locally.

While most reviews of the Elyments app at present seems to be positive,there are a number of reports that state that users are being unable to login to the app, suggesting that it still has teething bugs in the services.Neverthless.it will be interesting to  see if Elyments,which has been officially backed by India's Vice president as an ideal example of a service made in india,Manages to grow in user Count and rival global  giants such as Facebook ans WhatsApp.After being in beta for a While,Elyments has so far seen over 1 lakh downloads on the Google Play Store.

Safari to support password-less logins

Safari 14, the version of Apple’s browser that will ship with iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur, will let you use Face ID or Touch ID to log in to websites built to support the feature. The functionality was confirmed in the browser’s beta release notes, and Apple has detailed how the feature works in a WWDC video for developers. The functionality is built on the Web Authn component of the FIDO2 standard, developed by the FIDO Alliance. It should make logging into a website as easy as logging into an app secured with Touch ID or Face ID.WebAuthn is an API that aims to make web logins simpler and more secure. Microsoft to Phase out Support for legacy browser Internet Explorer in Upcoming year

From the upcoming year, Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support Internet Explorer. Microsoft is bidding farewell to Internet Explorer 11 as well as Microsoft Edge Legacy. The company will be withdrawing support for the browser in a phased manner. Starting November 30, the Microsoft Teams web app will no longer support Internet Explorer 11. By August 17, 2021, the browser will no longer be supported by the remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services. Meanwhile, it is also ending support for the Microsoft Edge Legacy desktop app on March 9, 2021. After this date, the desktop app will no longer receive new security updates. Microsoft has reportedly been planning to cut support for the Internet Explorer brand for quite some time now, a move which first became apparent in 2015 with the company rolling out the new Edge browser under the codename 'Project Spartan'.
