Facebook new Update:includes Dark Mode!

After a long wait, Facebook's Dark Mode is ready for launch, and few users have even been able to try it before its begins rolling out globally.Facebook Dark Mode is a new look for the Social network that replace its usual bright white interface with black and shades of grey for both desktop and Mobile .Its small change, but an favourite one for many users
Its a alternative to the color scheme, but that's not the only reason many users are looking forward to making the switch .Some people fine white text on the dark background much easier to read, and although the jury is out on whether cutting down on blue light actually helps you sleep better at night,a dark interface certainly reduces glare when you are using app after dark .
There is a benefit for your phone battery ,too. Researches have found that pixel color has direct effect on power draw, with black pixels using significantly less energy than white ones. This is particularly true for devices with AMOLED screens, where pure black pixels color are actually switched off.Swapping Facebook's bright ,white interface to something darker could therefore help your mobile device to last noticeably longer between chargers.

Desktop users:

Facebook has been working on a new design for its desktop site for several months now, with an optional dark mode, and although the launch isn't yet complete, it's rolling out right now to users worldwide. When you get the update, you should see a prompt at the top of the screen asking if you want to try the new-look Facebook. Once you accept, you'll be able to switch to dark mode from the settings menu.If you're still waiting to receive the new design, you can use Google Chrome to 'force' dark mode on Facebook. This doesn't look exactly the same as the official dark mode will, but it's not too far off.

Mobile Users:

Facebook is also testing a new design for Android, which also offers a dark mode option. Again, this feature is currently available to a group of testers chosen seemingly at random.Facebook's mobile dark mode still seems to be very much a work in progress, and some users who've managed to catch a sneak peek at it have reported that it seems to be unfinished, switching between dark and light modes seemingly at random. There's no sign yet of dark mode for iOS, but we'd be surprised if it's far behind, as the two mobile apps share a lot of the same assets.

Google Camera 7.5 changes the file naming scheme and stops saving portrait photos in separate folders

Google Camera 7.5, the latest version of the camera app for Google Pixel smartphones, had earlier been spotted throwing around hints for the Pixel 4a 5G  and Pixel 5, alongside hints for features such as audio zoom, expanded social share, and more camera modes. The same version of the app also brings around some more changes, notably a change in the file naming scheme for photos and finally stopping the behavior for saving portrait photos in a separate folder. In Google Camera 7.5, portrait photos will no longer be saved into their own folders, which is a move that is likely to be appreciated by everyone. On older versions, any portrait pics that you clicked would be saved inside individual folders within the DCIM/Camera directory, which was frankly a terrible implementation. Using most gallery solutions would mean that you had to venture into each individual folder to check out the images, plus your photos would not show up chronologically, and deleting the pictures would still le...

Safari to support password-less logins

Safari 14, the version of Apple’s browser that will ship with iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur, will let you use Face ID or Touch ID to log in to websites built to support the feature. The functionality was confirmed in the browser’s beta release notes, and Apple has detailed how the feature works in a WWDC video for developers. The functionality is built on the Web Authn component of the FIDO2 standard, developed by the FIDO Alliance. It should make logging into a website as easy as logging into an app secured with Touch ID or Face ID.WebAuthn is an API that aims to make web logins simpler and more secure. Unlike passwords, which are often easily guessed and vulnerable to phishing attacks, WebAuthn uses public key cryptography and can use security methods like biometrics or hardware security keys to verify your identity. It’s a standard that individual websites need to add support for, but being supported by the stock browser in iOS has the potential to be a major boost for adoption. This isn’...
